TalayaDARCEL
Founder of Oil For The Journey. Raised in the inner city of Trenton NJ, only 7.65 square miles, she fought a lot. Trained in karate by her father, Talaya learned early how to defend and protect herself. She spent much of her life fighting, starting in the third grade. However, her toughest battle wasn’t in the streets, but in the church; it was a challenge she was unprepared for. Though deeply wounded by church hurt, she found healing and renewal through God’s grace. Her journey revealed that true healing is a process, not an instant fix.
Talaya is anointed to undergird others during their most difficult seasons in life. Through her ministry, she guides others to embrace their true identity, understand their assignment, take authority, and have the audacity to pursue their calling and to go after God with all their heart.
She is a proud single mother of three amazing adult children, Parashay, Thomas, and Tyrone. Raising them on her own was a challenging, yet rewarding journey in her life. Through every hardship and triumph, she learned the power of resilience, faith, and unconditional love, and she is grateful to see the strong, successful individuals they’ve become. This experience has fueled her passion for leading and undergirding others on their journeys.
Talaya's educational accomplishments reflect her unwavering commitment to personal growth and excellence. She holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science as a Legal Assistant from Mercer County Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Rider University. To further enhance her leadership skills, Talaya earned a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership from Post University.
You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. (Ps. 23:5)
